Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency

The Mohawk Valley Health System Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency Program (PMSR/RRA) is designed for the mature, self-motivated, self-disciplined podiatric medical school graduate. Part of the Mohawk Valley Health System’s two main campuses, your training here will include exposure to and participation in treating and caring for patients in the hospital, outpatient and multidisciplinary setting.

Our three-year program has received provisional approved by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education and our clinic/office, surgical, medical, wound care, biomechanical and didactic experiences exceed the Minimum Activity Volume (MAV) for each category as established by the CPME.

Prerequisites:

  • Minimum GPA:  2.8
  • Minimum class rank:  upper 1/3
  • Graduate of an accredited U.S. Podiatric Medical School
  • Must pass both Part 1 and Part 2 of NBPE examination
  • Must have three letters of recommendation written within the past six months
