RTP Research Fellowship
The Panday lab in the Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology (also affiliated with the Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center) at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN, is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow.
Our Group studies molecular mechanism of genome integrity, synthetic lethality, chromatin dynamics associated with replication stress, and their role in carcinogenesis and cancer therapy by using cutting-edge methodologies. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about DNA repair and cancer biology fundamentals in a highly supportive environment. Mentorship of the candidate regarding facilitating training and collaborations with labs at the Mayo Clinic and beyond, applying for fellowships, grantsmanship, and promoting your transition to your long-term goals will be a priority! On-site training will also be provided to the successful applicant for unfamiliar techniques.
A successful applicant will have enthusiasm for science, self-motivation, organization, good teamwork, and communication skills. Duties for this specific position will include both a research component and a lab support component. The successful candidate is expected to perform research by contributing to the design of experiments, data acquisition, data analysis and interpretation, manuscript preparation, and mentoring junior researchers. Experience or training in gene cloning, protein biochemistry, mammalian cell culture, and molecular biology is preferred.
