Ultrasound Fellowship

The UTHealth Department of Emergency Medicine offers a one-year fellowship in Clinician Performed Ultrasound. The fellowship includes didactic and hands-on training in ultrasound physics as well as the primary and advanced indications for sonography performed by the clinician at the bedside.

The US section faculty is a motivated group with a diverse training background. All experts in basic bedside applications of ultrasound with individual interest including advanced echocardiography, musculoskeletal sonography, sonography in the resource limited setting, pediatrics, research, multimedia, and education.

We strive to do our part to help advance clinician performed ultrasound. Efforts include exploring new and improved applications through research conducted inside and outside the Department of Emergency Medicine. Introducing ultrasound medical students as a part of their education and through interest groups. Additionally, we enjoy a collegial and collaborative relationship with other departments around the hospital who utilize point of care sonography.
