Jersey Shore University Medical Center Program

The Psychiatry Residency Program at Hackensack Meridian Health’s Jersey Shore University Medical Center, situated in Neptune, New Jersey, provides an exceptional training environment for future psychiatrists. • Emergency Psychiatry Services: 2 months
• Internal Medicine: 3 months
• Neurology: 2 months
• Outpatient Family Medicine: 1 month

In PGY2, residents focus on acquiring specific psychiatric skills through rotations in areas such as child and adolescent psychiatry, consultation-liaison psychiatry, and neuromodulation practices, including ECT 5.

As residents advance to PGY3, the emphasis shifts to outpatient psychiatry encompassing adult, child and adolescent, and geriatric specialties, aiming to provide a comprehensive outpatient experience.
